Join us on a 30-seater touring boat for a 90-minute cruise into the Upper Mississippi River Wildlife and Fish Refuge. You will have a rare opportunity to both experience and learn about the riparian forests, swamps, sloughs, wildlife and fish habitat that characterize the Upper Miss Refuge. In all, the Refuge is 261 river miles and 244,000 acres of wetlands, protected 100 years ago. The Refuge runs from Wabasha, Minnesota to Rock Island, Illinois and borders all of Jo Daviess County. RSVP’s are required and seats will be awarded on a first come, first served basis. The tour is free to attend, but donations are encouraged. RSVP to info@jdcf.org.
