The Burn Brigade Offers Free Prescribed Fire Training

The newly formed Burn Brigade Prescribed Burn Association is an all-volunteer group located in northwest Illinois. They are seeking new members and offering a free training session for anyone interested in joining them.  This hands-on training will cover the fundamentals of conducting a safe and effective prescribed burn, including fire dynamics, weather considerations, burn design, equipment operation, personal protective equipment (PPE), communication, and on-site implementation. Instruction will take place both indoors and outdoors, weather permitting. Please dress appropriately — the training will be held rain or shine.
