JDCF announces the following dates for preserve closures due to hunting lease commitments.

• Horseshoe Mound: December 28-31, and January 12-14, 2024.
• Valley of Eden Bird Sanctuary: December 8-10. Limited closures until November 30. Closed areas are marked with signs and chains across the closed areas.  The kiosk area, bird viewing area, main grasslands, and river bottom at the entrance of the preserve will remain open to the public.
• All Preserves: November 30 – December 3: All preserves closed due to firearms season.
