Due to a high chance of rain, this event has been rescheduled to the next day, Saturday, July 15, same time and same place. Join us at Casper Bluff to meet insects from the Chicago Field Museum and see a live moth show and tell. The best time to see moths and other insects is at night or just before sunset so from 9-11:30 PM we will illuminate sheets with bright lights and black lights to lure moths to our viewing party. Expert entomologist Jim Louderman and his assistant Hazel from the Field Museum and JDCF volunteer Ethan Brown, a local amateur entomologist, will co-lead the event. RSVPs are not needed, and you are free to arrive and depart at any time. Our insect party will take place .25 miles NW of the parking lot at the pavilion. Look for event signs. Please bring headlamps or flashlights. This event is subject to weather related cancellations. Please check back here for updates.
