Keough Effigy Mounds Land & Water Reserve

Currently Closed to the Public

This unique preserve runs from the edge of the Mississippi River to the bluff tops above, and is home to historic lead mine remnants and a rare bear effigy mound. The site is currently closed due to danger from open lead mine shafts.

Owl Prowl at Casper Bluff

We will begin the event by examining the contents of owl pellets to see what these nocturnal birds of prey eat.  This will be followed by a night hike through Casper Bluff to identify different owls by their calls.  The family-friendly event is free to the public and RSVP’s are not required.
