JDCF will be live in East Dubuque, IL for a tour of the hidden treasure, Gramercy Park. We will be joined by special guest, Rick Leute, Treasurer of the Gramercy Park Foundation. We thank the Apple River State Bank/First Community Bank of Galena for sponsoring our Facebook Live series.
Gramercy Park is a place where history and nature come together. Located on a high bluff above the Mississippi River, the 10-acre park offers amazing views of the river and Iowa. Twenty-six ceremonial and burial mounds from the Hopewell culture, 200-500 A.D., are scattered throughout the park with accompanying historical and archaeological signage. It is also a great location to view bald eagles during winter.
