Discover Gramercy Park ~ A Facebook Live Event

JDCF was Live this morning with Rick Leute of the Gramercy Park Foundation for a program about this 10-acre hidden gem of a park located in East Dubuque, IL. Rick shared some of the park’s history and plans for it’s future as well as some facts about the 26 burial and ceremonial Native American mounds found onsite that date back to the Hopewell culture circa 200-500 A.D. Unfortunately, our sound system was no match for the noise from the freight trains running below us and so we apologize for the ragged audio. However, the video will give you enough information to make you want to go and visit the park in person. Gramercy Park is located at Beecher and Gramercy Streets, East Dubuque, IL 61025. We thank the Apple River State Bank/First Community Bank of Galena for sponsoring our Facebook Live series.
